Hey everyone,
Been busy with golf season, but starting to look forward to hunting season.
Looked online and got the following on draw:

Antlered Mule Deer
Antlerless Mule Deer
Cow Elk
Non-Trophy Antelope

Should be a good season!

Anyone else getting any draws?

Yes, I got an antelope tag for Wyoming. They gave me one for an area I didn't appy but are taking care of it. I need to call them today as I was in Canada when they called to tell me to send in the odd tag. I sent it priority and they should have it today.

I'll be hunting with Cody and his father, Don. Several of the other huntnbuds are slated to attend camp to provide moral support.

Good luck with your hunts - how is the springer doing?

BJ

So far the springer is in better shape than me John - too much cart golf and beer. Ducks open up on the 8th, partridge on the 15th, so I will try and get going for those.

That should be a great trip for your antelope!

Got my non-trophy antelope on Monday(doe). Its only a three day hunt, and was a lot harder than I thought.
Spotted a nice herd the night before, in a coulee, and went there the next morning to hunt them.
Spotted them about a kilometer away, tried to sneak up, but spooked them into a 2 km run into some deep coulees.
Went after them, got a shot at one, but missed - they are fast!!
Had to leave my dad as he had to get back home. Started driving home and spotted another herd, was able to sneak into 200 yards, 1st shot was a little high, second put her down.
It was kind of wierd, I have never shot any big game when I have been by myself.....No pics, but a good adventure anyways.
Year end here at the golf club this week - that means 2 weeks of hunting coming up!!!!!

WTG q-b! Persistence pays and seeing a lot of game helps, too. Have you had anymore luck?

Sorry about the delay in responding, gave up the internet at home as the computer went up in smoke - not literally, but crashed.

Ended the season today with my cow elk this afternoon. Tagged out for the first time ever!
I now have to eat 1 antelope, 1 whitetail, 2 mule deer, and 1 cow elk.
If any of you get a chance, I will cook dinner!!!!
Tired after a 2 hour haul out to the road.
Talk to you soon,

Congrats on your success.

BTW, at night I get a country radio station (1090) here and think it is from your area - comes in good, too.
